First Friday is Downtown Valdosta's promotional event the first Friday of every month, beginning at 6 PM. At First Fridays, folks are able to listen to live music, enjoy dining specials, and shop at the boutiques, galleries, and specialty stores. Shoppers will be delighted to find most of the Downtown shops open until at least 9:00 PM.

Community Wide Yard Sale

Bainbridge Bikefest Grounds, 1754 Pondtown Road
The event is a first at the Bikefest grounds and there will be plenty of spaces available.  The items to be sold will include clothes, furniture, electronics, books, shoes, purses, automotive supplies & household products, plus who knows what else.
Reservation are not required, but if you would like to sell your items, you may reserve your spot with RayLyn at 229-220-8086.  The cost for a spot is only $10 plus a refundable clean-up fee of $10.
Early set-up and sales begin on Friday, August 5, at 5 pm.

The workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills and tool safety, while at the same time helping to instill a sense of accomplishment. Additionally, this fun time allows for quality one-on-one time between adults and children.
In addition to the newly constructed project kit, each child receives a kid-sized orange apron, similar to The Home Depot associates' aprons, and an achievement pin.
